Keys, Channel 5 bridge route to Tampa

Anyone got experience with Yacht Channel/ pass after channel 5 bridge.
Also any anchoring spots north of the bridge if we arrive at the wrong time of day !

Also much current to be concerned with... Big Cat small engines !

Once came from Biscayne to channel 5 bridge on way to Port of the Islands and use the channel to go to the Bahamas every chance we get with no current or clearance problems and I'm sure our engines are as small or smaller. There is also a bascule bridge north a few hours as well for greater than '65 off the water. Lots of anchoring options, active captain may help.
