iPad Navionics

Im working on an open source nav hardware solution that provides instruments as well as charts via your web browser. Works on anything with a web browser including iPad via a private wifi on the boat. I have an early demo up at Freeboard [MeshCMS]

iNavX and associated charts can control your boats autopilot. Navionics app can't, but if using primarily as a good planner and back up, both are good. Navionics, on an around the world trip would work out cheaper.

Have a look at 'gumdrop marine series'. They have a number of support brackets available also.
