Re: IPad GPS

I have the Bad Elf GPS also and, so far, it works great.

Re: IPad GPS

Hey SB, thanks for the AquaMaps demo yesterday. Great detail and the price can't be beat. I have the iPad with internal GPS and works a treat!

Re: IPad GPS

Well I used my Aqua Map/Bad Elf combo the last couple of days and once I loaded the update so it stopped turning itself off all the time it worked Great! Since my chartplotter chip is old it shows a lot shallower depth than my current charts and that in the past has stopped me from going into some channels. But the Aqu Map charts are all current and were a great help in my deciding if I could make it through. I doesn't had the features of a chartplotter, but for just having good charts and your location it was just what I was looking for.

Thanks

I use Garmin Blue Charts synched with Active Captain, Bad Elf GPS and my iPad or iPhone. I used Bad Elf on the ICW and offshore on our trip from New Jersey to Florida. Works great. All info is up to date and supplements by onboard plotters, etc.
