Re: iPad

Happy to put some more info in the date base, especially the facilities near me which I can be sure of the accuracy.
Is it possible to list the marinas in order of the states that they are in?

Key West Harbor... I'll have to look for the chart number... But I saw it on both the harbor and harbor and approaches charts

Well, everything is done by position in the map. You're probably familiar with the places you've been. Just zoom in and pan around. It's a lot of fun.

Hey Dragon Lady,
I'm sailing in Perth waters and using iNavX with Navionics charts. Seems to work OK and I haven't hit anything yet using the chart - but early days. Enjoy using iNavX though as a software developer myself I can see a few rough edges but these are in peripheral rather than core functions. Not much experience with other apps (but many on this forum, do have broader experience).

I hadn't realized Active Captain worked in Oz so I'll sign up now and start generating content.

Unfortunately, iNavX does not support ActiveCaptain in their product. There is no licensing cost and no user cost but they have not chosen to support the ActiveCaptain capability in their product.

The website is certainly available for use in Perth though - we'd especially love to see some anchorages put in for that area!

As soon as there is another iPhone app that supports ActiveCaptain data, we'll surely help to get the word out.

Drats! I have just sent them a polite and respectful request that they consider Active Captain integration in their product roadmap. Not holding my breath though.

I take it that there is no way to use Active Captain on your Ipad for Australia?
