I ended up scraping the top of my VHF antenna under this bridge in Palm Beach, FL. It was at slack tide. And my mast is apparently 60.5’ AWL. Add another foot for VHF antenna and it was way too close for comfort.

Luckily, the antenna just bent and no damage. Phew [emoji28]

Must have been slack high tide? Do you remember what the bridge tide boards were reading as far as clearance? We should be passing under that bridge tomorrow.

It was June 9, 2017, at exactly 5:22am. I think you can search for old tides.

I’m actually curious now. If you find out. Let me know.
