ICW Beaufort NC to Norfolk, 7.5ft Draft?
We're heading north to Beaufort NC tomorrow (5/20/19) and had originally planned to go outside Hatteras to Norfolk, but we have a little more time and it looks like we'd have to wait for weather anyway. I have looked a bit at active captain as I have no ICW guide, and haven't seen any show stoppers yet, but it's tedious and easy to.miss something... [7.5ft down draft, 60ft up draft]
Are there any places I cannot pass with 7.5 ft draft in this stretch? What are the tight spots I may need to time high tide, if any? Any added advice? Locks... haven't done that in a long time!
