How to Change Screen Colors for Different Areas?

Hi, I am looking for how to modify the color used by OpenCPM to represent different depth areas.
For CM93 maps, the swedish "less reliably measured" areas are shown in a dark grey color, that makes the depth figurs alost unreadable. (Se the attached picture showing how the Garmin Bluechart displays the same area.)
What can be done aout it. (I am not capable of neither changing the source code, or to compile it)

/Magnus

IMHO The SHOM.RLE (available on OpenCpn website under color palette) gives a better rendering
(Took me 15 minutes to locate the place even with the Help of Google and Google map...Had never realized there were so many islands up there...)

http://www.opencpn.org/vector_palette
Do not forget to rename to S52RAZDS.RLE

Using CM93 May 2010

(Puzzing: I've just tried CM93 1999, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010-5. They are absolutely similar and they seem to have more details than yours)

Vector Palette | Official OpenCPN Homepage
Do not forget to rename to S52RAZDS.RLE
Thanks!
If I understand you correctly, a file update/change can do the trick. Since I am no SW person, could you please give me some more handson advice how to do this?

(I assume I should get a new file from OpenCPN homepage somewhere, and I replace some other file by this in my PC where the OpenCPN is installed. Or something?)

OK, I tried and it works! Thanks a lot!

As you will certainly imagine, the cruising area between Stockholm and Helsinki in Finland is by far the most complicated archipelago in the world, and navigating it means at least one eye on the plotter fulltime.

Glad the time I spent on that file was useful to someone, and not only more pleasant to the eyes (but I'm prejudiced).
Could you tell me which version of CM93 you are using ?

OK, for the record
using CM93 2010-5 with the original S52 file gives fair results, but not with older CM93 versions...

I think the CM93 I use is 2010 something. After adjusting the detailness and depth limits I get this kind og result:

So I guess it is OK now. Thanks!
