History of Navigation and Cartography during age of Discovery

I posted the below link on Reddit a week ago. It didn't get this lowest rating ever on Reddit, but kind of close, mostly just too boring to them. just curious if anyone here is knowledgeable about this subject. I am curious about the period between 1675 and 1750 on how cartography improved so much.
