Second easiest lock in North America with only 2' drop/rise.

The easiest is Lock 8 in the Welland Canal where one does not even tie up.

Re: Great Bridge Lock ICW Va

This is an easy lock to single hand, it's just like pulling up alongside a bulkhead. Depending on tides the lock sometimes isn't even in use, and it's only a couple feet of height change even when it is without any major currents. Nit something to stress about at all.
