I just made a new Havana harbor.kap using TerraIncognita using ESRI Arcgis map and the result is very good as you see from the attachment.

I will do the coastal approach later,using ESRI.

And here is the Havana approach.kap view,all in the same scale as the Havana harbor.kap when zoomed in. All seems to work normally. Again using the ESRI ArcGis map. Produced with TerraIncognita.

OK make one 10nm long at a scale of 2km height.

Here´s the 53 nm long Kiel Canal in all it´s glory. I only show the ends of the canal but the whole canal is at the same scale.The height is 500 m .Using TerraIncognita and GE.

I have also done the entire Panama Canal at the same scale.

I will try GE2KAP later....

So it looks like Terinconita works at 500m but not 2000

Your charts of the Kiel Canal are not 500 meters. Take a look at the scale in the map bubble at the bottom of the OpenCPN display its probably about 1:16000 which is equivalent to about 6000 meters on GE. I am not sure what TeraInCognita means by their zoom selection but 500 meters does not produce a chart at 500 meters. Go into GE and look at what the entrance to the Kiel looks like at 500 meters then try to zoom in on OpenCPN to the same level, it will be very blurry.

This explains why when I selected 2000 meters the chart was so blurry the chart produced was at an equivalent height of 30,000 meters.
