I have an old Pathfinder SL70C working with an old RS120. Working just fine, so maybe that bodes well for the RN300.

Date and time were correct?

Raymarine suggests that position data will be okay but date and time (and hence tide calculations on your charter) are likely not reliable.

But you will have noted Raymarine's advice that we need to replace our RS 125 receivers by 2022 because errors will accumulate, no?

There is mention of this in the PDF listing linked here:

2019 GPS Week Rollover

Edit: Yep, that is what you posted a screen shot on the later post. Didn't see that yet when I originally posted, so I went looking.

Global Positioning System Rollover week—06 April 2019

My Raymarine RN300 - 2003 - took 30 minutes to find position but was correct. Time was off slightly from my internet time, but don’t know which is the most accurate. Pathfinder radar (needs accurate GPS to work) was aligned over chart and appears accurate to chart. Looked for date but can’t find anyplace on Pathfinder RL70C or RN300.

Re: Global Positioning System Rollover week—06 April 2019

My Lowrance HDS7 plotter crashed. No gps signal. Alarm rings constantly unless I turn the sound off.
The plotter is also the gps source for my VHF, so my radio now sends out an alarm signal every few minutes telling me it cannot determine location.
I phoned US lowrance support a couple of times and each time was put on hold for hours, eventually I gave up. Then phoned the Canada support number and they picked up right away. Said they are working on a software patch, hopefully within a couple of days. In the meantime, I could download a previous software version that would give me a gps signal, but no time or date, or wait for the software patch.
Appears they ( lowrance, Raytheon and b&g) have been caught with their pants down, notwithstanding that they must have known this reset day was coming.

On the RL70C from the display menu choose the display window for data fields. Time and date are data fields.

Re: Global Positioning System Rollover week—06 April 2019

My old Garmin GPSMap 76 handheld worked with no issues. Date and time correct. Probably took about 7-8 minutes to get a fix, but it hasn't been turned on in over a year so to me that seems pretty much normal.

Re: Global Positioning System Rollover week—06 April 2019

I wrote another email to Maretron asking for an update, hinting that B&G already had their fix out. Their reply was that they have been successful to replicate my bug report. WTF! They didn’t even know... the mind boggles

It also said to contact them “in a few weeks”. Really?!

So I did the wise thing just like that time that Raytheon let me down with their GPS: order a Garmin. Then it was a model 120, now it is the 19x NMEA2000 model

I hope Maretron will be able to get themselves to contact me when they have a fix. Maybe I’m the only GPS200 user in the world.

Re: Global Positioning System Rollover week—06 April 2019

My Garmin 5208 started up normally, no extra time to get a fix.
Tide program on the SD Bluechart showed correct date and time.
