Garmin navigation system broke?

Today my wired Garmin navigation system (GMI 20s, GPSMAP 820) would not start. 12v panel navigation fuse is good. The 12v panel system detects a malfunction and the "navigation" switch flashes accordingly.

I would not know where to start tests with a multimeter for a diagnosis. Or where there would be other fuses. Or where online I would for find a troubleshooting guide.

Problem solved: on my recent buy, a Bavaria 41, I need not only to press the button "navigation" to switch on the Nav bundle, but also the button "pannel light".

Well, well, issue solved, learning each day...
