Boat: O'Day Sloop 23ft.

Garmin GPS Map 478
I have a Garmin GPS Map 478 and want to add a transducer to show the current depth on my O'Day 23 sailboat. I plan on adding it onto the transom. Anyone know what parts are needed to accomplish this?
