Peter,
1) Bluewater Books and Charts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL has every chart you'd ever need, and they can also print-on-demand....

Cruising guides, Navigational Charts and other supplies - Bluewater Books & Charts

Bluewater Books and Charts, is where I've been buying my charts/books/etc. for about 30 years now and every time I call them for a chart or two (or a dozen) they have 'em, they'll print 'em, or they'll find 'em for me in a day!!!

And, they ship them either folded (as you direct) or rolled...you decide...and ship quickly and securely worldwide....

2) Have a look at this chart thread as well....

3) I thought the Carib 1500 was from Virginia to Tortola....and they have another rally to the Bahamas (I think???)....but, is there actually a Rally that is now going to Cuba??? With the travel restrictions for US citizens, this would be news!!

Thanks very much John - Super -, allready contacted them right after your reply!,

Maybe wrote it a bit cryptic, but your' right.
the 1500 goes to tortola. There are some boats that go south (Abacos).
The organisers thought at one point that Cuba would open up for the US.
But as it hasn't , the majority of boats go To tortola. We however take the 1500
to get past the gulfstream and then to abacos. From there we can go as we are
flagged different and have a dutch nationality. So no problems there.
after Cuba it is Panama for us. and next year further down to the Pacific.

Again thnks for the help!

Re: Cuba to panama

Yes we have,
around cuba, windward passage and down to bocas del toro.

ALthough,

what do you want to do here:-)
sailing is not that great, All in retrospect.
Kuna in San Blas, an experience. But i think
the longer we are here, this is the end of the road for
a lot off cruisers. Fine if you are happy here. but not
our choice. So leaving in march either to go through
the canal and do the pacific. or out of here and to europe

Re: Cuba to panama

I have a complete set of charts for the Caribbean Islands from Bahamas-Trinidad. Most are 19th century British and French colonial charts. So they're out there, try British and French Data bases. Maybe newer charts exist too.
