Hey all, looking for a bit of input by people smarter than me. Don't worry, that's almost everyone.
Myself (Lagoon 380) and Tate and Dani on a Westsail 32 (sundownersailsagain.com) - are considering jumping the puddle next year. Naturally, since we're "ready" this year, it's decided to be an El Nino year and indications are that it will be a tougher year to cross.
Can anybody with experience crossing in an El Nino year, or with expertise in weather/wind/currents chime in?
The
route would ideally be Panama-Galapagos-Marquesas (where I'm planning on making use of a long-stay visa).
Input much appreciated, sources and data more appreciated.
