CP180 with Internal Antenna - Best Price ?

Hi folks,

I have finally decided that I want to get SH CP180 with internal antenna. Can you recommend a place to buy it for a good price. Seems like online store in US have really good prices but shipping seems to be quite expensive.

Can you recommend a store that has good prices and ships to Canada for reasonable price?

Currently I can buy this unit locally for:
CP180 - 449.95 + C-Map (Great Lakes) 239.95 + tax (13%) = 779.59

If I can buy it online and save few bucks, I'd like to go that route. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I got my CP180 at the GPS Store The GPS Store, Inc. Garmin GPS Systems, Magellan, TomTom and Accessories . Don't know what the UPS rates are to Canada, though-you can ask them.

Thanks so much! Their shipping rate to Canada is 19.99. That is reasonable. Even with the custom fees I will still save around $100.

Normally I like supporting my local stores... but times like this I also need to look after my own wallet.

Thanks a million!

Bought mine on the internet for $400.00 2.5 or 3 years ago.
Very happy with it.

It is great for hooking up AIS, DSC, EPIRB and Autopilot to.

Hi folks,

Today my local store had pre-season open house sale so I went there with my mind set on the cp180.

It was finally on sale for 419 plus c-maps 200 - so together 620 plus tax

I've spend over an hour hanging out in the nav area of the store and playing with the units.

I walked out with Raymarine A50D.

This unit comes with fishfinder (not much need for me - but who knows) and it came with pre-loaded navionics silver charts of Canada. Seems like the major difference between platinum and silver are: aerial shots, 3D views - so silver charts were just good enough for me. They had a promo on it this weekend 799 plus tax. So for not much of a difference (over CP180 unit) I went with this unit.

Each year I try to add something nice to the boat, so i guess this is it for this year. :-)

I am new to this site, so if this question is for another forum please direct me in the right direction. I see the cp 180 was the main topic. I have one and have a question on its operation. When I have a chart loaded and attempt to zoom in or out I occasionally lose all detail (depths, nav. aids etc.) and can't seem to get it back in any predictable fashion. Kind of tense in unfamiliar waters. Anyone have this happen or know what I am doing wrong? Thanks, 30 Below
