Cap'n (Computerized American Practical Navigator) was one of the original navigation
software packages. Dennis Mills developed it in the early 1990's and was one of the first to develop what became the raster chart display technology.
The problem is that the outfit that later purchased it (from Maptech) is no longer in business and it's not possible to load and register the software on a laptop
at this time.
In any case I figured out how to get in there and convert the old routes (not fun, but instructive).
