On December 16, 2018, at 0615 hours, my wife and I dropped our
anchor near La Cruz de Huanacaxtle in
Bahia de Banderas on the
west coast of mainland
Mexico, completing an almost 8-year
circumnavigation where we sailed over 48,000 miles and visited 38 countries.
Once the
anchor was set, my wife and I held each closely and burst into tears.
We are still about 1,000 miles from our home in
San Diego and we intend to return there sometime in May or June.
Fair winds and calm seas.
