Speedo, note that there are some sailing geeks in here that are computer geeks as well. The best example is phiggins' thread on The XO Computer for Navigation. So, yes, please start another thread! This sounds very interesting to me. A stand alone GPS with bright screen that can use free charts for about $100? Way cool.

I'll save my questions and comments for the new thread.
