Charts for mediterranean voyage

HI, I'm a couple of months away form beginning to move my boat form Aegina (Greece) to the Canaries by way of Sicily, Italy, France, Spain, Gibralta. Morrocco, Canaries.

I have a chartplotter with all maps necessary for the trip. But at the moment no paper charts, or pilots.....except for the Aegean.

Question is: Without buying loads and loads of charts and pilots for each country what's the minimalist approach to this? Hope the chart plotter doesn't go on holidays, rely on OpenCPN on PC as a back up?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you thought about a Smart Pad for back up? Android and iPad, this will allow many choices for backup instead of buying alot of paper.

If you have an Ipad apps I recommend Navionics Marine Europe last week crossing to Ibiza from Denia (spain) Only with these cards and only cost about $ 55

You can also check out the charts on the Navionics Web site. just click on products and the webb app. I have them on my ipad and it is the same data. Have a great trip.
