Re: Canadian nav charts

Most of that is on the US Charts which are free, however there are some areas that aren't covered by NOAA. Check the NOAA online catalog for ENC's and PDF's and if that fails, Landfall can get the paper Canadian charts.

How do I get NOAA nautical charts?

Re: Canadian nav charts

With the S-63 plug-in for OpenCPN you can use the Canadian ENCs (vector format). These are relatively expensive, I fear.

At the ChartWorld shop there are collections of Navionics based, S63 encoded charts available. These charts are getting updated once per year.

I had a look for the Med sets and at at first glance cherry-picking single charts from the Hydrographic Offices looks more interesting for me.
There is a 150€ Canadian WestCoast packet in these group.
Perhaps this one might be a choice. Local users may have an opinion about this material.
As an addition you can add singular Canadian ENCs then - case you need some area with the latest available updates. Select in this case the "3 months licence period". This brings cost down.

Re: Canadian nav charts

The cost of Canadian charts, both paper and electronic, stopped me from going to the Gulf Islands over (our) Memorial Day.
