C-Map how often do they get updated?

Do C-Map cards need or get updating?

If I was to buy a 2 year old card on the cheap surely it would still be OK.
Far more OK than my 10 year old paper.

C-Map charts are usually updated twice a year depending on what system you use.

C-maps are update a couple of time per year. But their updates are only as good as the data they get from the national cartography/oceanology offices. But yes, a 2 year old card i definitely better than a 10 year old - although unless the used card i very cheap, you can probably update your old card for the same amount of money and then you have a new update

You can get your CMAP card updated by Jeppesen Marine & I arranged to get one done just over a year ago.
