Best Route Mississippi River to Mobile, AL

What is the best route for a 48' LOA monohull with a 7' draft and 14' beam? I think the options are: Old River Lock to Atchfalaya River, Mississippi to New Orleans and lock thru to Lake Ponchartrain, or Mississippi all the way to the gulf. Currently motoring only as the mast and sails are in Mobile.

Not sure where you are. Maybe already south of Ohio River. If not, take a look at Tennessee River, Tenn Tom to Mobile, Al.
