Re: Belize Waypoints

[QUOTE=belizesailor;1960985]Yes, older CMAP is a bad joke in Belize...like .

Navionics is pretty good, but still has inaccuracies. For example, I tested it thru the infamous "Port O' Stuck" last year and it was WAY off. The local detail was pretty good but its position was shifted significantly...so our track was plotted across dry land.

We actually followed our CMap course through Porto-Stuck once. It had us go just outside the channel by about 100', we made it with a 5' draft.

Re: Belize Waypoints

I think Navionics has the Porto Stuck pretty good now. Attached is the GE chart we used when we went through back in 2011 and also the SasPlanet Navionics I just created. The dark purple is our track.

Could be they have updated it since I ran thru...or I'm remembering the wrong electronic chart. I ran several thru there on the way up and back during a charter.
