Bahamas CMAP or Navionics or something else :-)

Years gone by we used Nobletec with great success but seems like technology has pressed forward, our old panasonic toughbook sits as a back up and we now have a Raytheon E7 chartplotter (which is amazing by the way) onboard.

Heading over to Bahamas in December, recommendations on which mapping software? Our tech who installed the autopilot I believe preferred CMAP but not sure and figure we'll go straight to the source and ask you guys!

Cheers!

CMap contains the official Explorer Charts for the Bahamas. I wouldn't trust any other there - particularly if you plan on exploring some of the more remote areas.

NV Charts digitized MapTech folios but they do not make cartridges.

I think zone 9 in the App.

What Mark said. I do not think Navionics uses the Explorer Charts data.
