Pilot Charts are likely what you're after. Though the info should be available online.

Averages don't always tell the whole story.

Re: Average Wind Speed And Direction In Greece
Hi
The Etesian or Meltemi is from May to October the prevailing wind. In late autumn and winter Southerly winds are more common.
Cheers

Yes that is what it says in the wiki. The point I was trying to make was that the climate link above shows average wind in that area over the summer to be 15 or less. If you go there expecting moderate winds you might be upset getting hit with up to three days of 30-40 knot winds.

Re: Average Wind Speed And Direction In Greece
When we cruised the Dodecanese a little while ago I brought along Rod Heikell's "Greek waters pilot". Frankly, that book will tell you everything you need to know. Highly recommended
Oddvar
PS! Turned out to be futile, as our chartered L380 had a copy on board. (older edition though )

Re: Average Wind Speed And Direction In Greece
There is no wind on the water in Greece. The only wind you will encounter is at a Taverna where there are fans with atomisers to try to cool you off. Greece is not a SAILING destination.

If you are afraid of wind don't go sailing. Anyway the last 3 years the Meltemi wasn't there😥

Having spent 5 years sailing in the Greek islands and had everything from zero to 60 knots I too beg to differ.

Meltemi in summer is very often blowing between 25 and 40 knots, sometimes for 4 to 5 days.
I agree that the Heikell is a very good source for information concerning Greek and Turkish waters

Here is the resource Uncivilized was referring to
Maritime Safety Information
(you want the North Atlantic atlas). It's nice because it can be downloaded (one file for each month). I hadn't seen the resource that StuM posted, although it looks quite useful and I will save that link. But probably not much good if you are offline.

Re: Average Wind Speed And Direction In Greece
Holmek and others saying there is no wind in Greece have no idea what they are talking about! The Meltimi this year has been blowing it's nuts off. Having spent most of the summer in Cyclades sailing I do know what I'm talking about.

Didn't say anything about afraid, just pointing out if you're expecting one kind of weather condition and it is the opposite you might not be happy with the decision you made. Once with the crew I had, their experience level and their expectations for a vacation I opted to charter in the Ionian rather than the Aegean.
But, yes I am afraid of wind. I have hove to in the past to avoid a hurricane .
I presume that you would have agreed with the trip plan of the skipper of the Bounty
