Android (Samsung Galaxy s i9000) to AIS

Hello, my name is Paul, I'm a captain on merchant ships.

I'm looking for software for Android (samsung galaxy s i9000)
that connects me to the AIS on board, can someone help me, thanks?!

You can always access marinetraffic.com when you have a signal near shore.

I need a software program (such as those used by pilots)
to display AIS data on mobile
I have allready nautical charts in to the phone (navionics) I needs ais info ....

I was talking to a guy about this last night and he doesn't think theres much available yet.

But that seems to be a very passing thing. Probably only months till someone writes something.

Maybe someone here has/can?

Try the Navionics and see if it allows AIS.

Otherwise leave the Samsung at home and take an Ipad along.
