A question to those using MaxSea 10 ...

I've recently installed 7.3.5 and am still working my way through the various features - but one I'm finding rather stupid is the ship centering arrangement.
Unlike CMAPECS, Tsunami, SeaClear etc which position the ship with approximately 2/3 of the chart always in front of the vessel, MaxSea offers either the centre of the chart, or one of 4 corner positions which, although these would be useful on a steady unchanging course, require the user to make a selection 'in advance', so to speak - so that if the ship makes a large change in course direction, the centering zone will then require changing too. And presumably if you were to do a sudden 180, then you'd have precious little chart showing until you manually changed the centering option.

So - I was wondering if this unusual centering arrangement has been retained on version 10 and upwards ?

Also - does anyone else consider this to be a less than satisfactory arrangement, and how do they cope with it ?

'best
Colin
