Ram.

Try typing the email letter out. I know it can be a pain-in-the-a**.

Another reason why I hate these damn latest upgrades to this site?

Ok, Well the e-mail says the anchors atleast in my batch were recalled, they will pay for postage COD- they say there is a "slight issue almost invisible"
and will replace it and throw in a free anchor rescue.

I paid $400 for it about a month ago & then saw some one selling them for $300, I e-mail the Co. & they sent me a check for the $100,
I also expressed concern that its small size might not hold my boat & the guy at the Factory said if your not happy with it we will give you the next size up free
I have the anchor on the boat now (France)but have not used it yet, it looks fine to me???So I gess I will be humping it back to the states with me in my suitcase.

Well Ram.

Make sure you get that cleared properly. I haven't flown on ariplanes in a good while. So I wouldn't know the procedures after 9-11?

Good luck when you do bring that anchor with you back here to the US!!

Cap K
I brought it with me and had it checked in my luggage when I came, so i think its ok going back,
I did get stopped with a nice batt operated Mikita drill in my carry on, that they would not allow, so I took it in the bathroom & took out my majic marker , wrote my name & number on it & turned it in to lost & found where I will pick it up (hope) when i return, funny thing is they let me take the 2 batterys on that seems to me could me more "explosive" than the drill.

Some of the security features they implamented at the airports, are plain ludacris. And some were actually much needed.

I hope you'll get you battery powered Mikita drill back. Those tools don't grow on trees!! And they cost ya over time, if ya keep losing them!!

Hmmmm, could do with a good makita Batt drill. Now all I have to do is get on the next flight to some airport in France. Upon arival, go to the nearest Lost and found office and ask if they have a Makita Drill. Can't be too hard. What am I missing

I'm sorry you had to leave your drill, but frankly, I'm happy they didn't let you bring it on the plane. Glad to see the tax dollars are actually working.

I can see complaining about confiscating a nail clippers, but a drill? That would have gone in my checked luggage. (though I assume you had a ton of stuff checked....)
