Where to get chain tested in Ft Lauderdale?

Anyone know a good and hopefully economical place to get chain breaking strength tested in Ft Lauderdale?

Re: Where to get chain tested in Ft Lauderdale?

If buying new chain, just ask for the testing certification of the lot you are buying from. If they cannot produce it, go someplace that can. There are several chain distributors down there - including Maggi now.

If old chain, break testing isn't really going to tell you much because you will only know about the end section you destroyed, and not have any real confidence on the remainder of the chain.

In the scheme of things, chain isn't all that expensive. If I were concerned enough with ours to consider break testing it, I would just buy new chain.

If it's not corroded, and the links are still dimensionally correct, I fail to see what benefit you'd gain by pulling a section of it apart.
