I am going to be cruising around the Aegean this summer and I would like to buy a new anchor. Ideally I would like to get a Mantus but I would also be very happy with a Rocna. Can anyone in the group recommend anywhere in Greece or Turkey where I could find either at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance for your advice.
There is a pretty big chandlery at Olympic Marine. If you call Olympic they can give you their phone number. I bought my Rocna from Contract Yacht Services (CYS) in Lefkas. They had a 40 kilo in stock but I wanted the 55 so they ordered it for me. Marmaras Turkey would have several vendors with one.

This is bad advice. Greece lacks a modern logistics infrastructure like you woud find, e.g., in Italy. Costs of shipping and delays are horrendous. You may be stuck for weeks somewhere (with someone willing to be your post office) waiting for your anchor to arrive. Had to do it last year for a windlass - no choice.
Our experience in Greece was that we could get anything sent to any chandlery in a day or 2 from Athens. Longer if it came from further. Turkey was the same
but big cities had a big selection in stock of course.
Great guy, George, owns a full service chandlery in Nedri on Lefkada and has lots of things, but can order anything. For my boat I bought an Ultra when I was in Turkey and love the anchor.
