Thanks.

I am just wondering if the DIY'ers can make these out of any outdoor fabric or does it need to be a certain this or that fabric...?

Always wondered what the definition of lifetime is. My lifetime, the boats, Jeff Bezos??

Suspect just more marketing ********.

That's how I got most of mine. A couple times, a boat was pulling out and left them behind...I called them and they said keep it...I'm guessing a delivery crew.

One time found a 4ft by 2ft monster in brand new condition. Probably costs half what my boat does...I let the marina office know I found but no one ever came asking for it...I never did find a good use for it.

That type of policy is usually a waste of time.
- I'd rather support the business that gives me a good price up front.
- Many chains have identical products but with a different store specific item code, so they can claim it's not identical.
- If there is a hefty discount maybe but not for a 5-10% discount on a small item. My time chasing down the prices is worth more than $5.

if sd is san diego, why dont you go to downwind marine ... better prices and friendly atmosphere mom and pop store .....
if south dakota, best of luck. move to san diego..
if the amazon fenders say taylor made they are prolly the good ones..
personally i found lovely ones just after pnw storms ram san diego and leave the rich yachties fenderless. no name-fair game.

These are tuff end fenders....a Taylor Made knock-off, maybe Overton. What does the round logo read at the top? Do an internet search on "tuff ended boat fender images" to see the many possibilities. Please let us know what you find.

Like other posters have mentioned, order one to test it. Keep the packaging in case you need to return it.

I'd also be weary of "lifetime" garantees on other products, the requirements to be eligible for such garantess can be extremely rare / impossible to qualify for.

I have no clue, that’s the best picture I could find. Trying to find the same fenders that will come with the boat as I want to get a couple more.

This is what I did............buy name brand fenders like Taylor Made and use the unknown fender brand for dock end and/or side bumper(s). Also if you want to really impress your marina neighbors cover them with personalized fender covers with boat name and manufacture model from Cape Hatteras Marine in Costa Mesa to match your canvas.

Re: Thoughts on Amazon Fenders

FWIW I bought these for my boat in feb https://www.leaderaccessories.com/pr...23120169467962 shows they are sold out of 8x20 now price was right for 4 of them shipped 100 bucks...

look just like the taylor marine, feel just like em, the line is only long enough if you want to hang them vertically.

Re: Thoughts on Amazon Fenders

I don't think you will need them. Any docks on the Amazon wash away in the spring rains, so you will have little use for fenders....
