Should i put a zinc on this anchor if its going to spend the majority of its life in the water?

We have an aluminum spade and we’ve anchored out 7 months a year for the last 4 years. The anchor is still in fine shape with no zinc.

As long as there is no connection with the boat, electrical systems or bonding then there is no need.
Aluminum in salt water environment makes it's own protection....I wouldn't do a thing to it.

Thinking more along the lines of aluminunm touching galvinised im an electrolyte... there will be galvanic corrosion and aluminum will be the loser, no?

Salt water is a great conductor though. I think it would help a little but probably not hugely significant. I vote for leaving it alone and seeing what happens.
