S/L Hyspeed Windlass and Anchor Rode

I have a S/L Hyspeed manual windlass with a RCA60 gipsy for 3/8 chain. Right now I use a fortress anchor for light day anchoring and kedging off. I am going to change from 3 strand nylon to 8 plait nylon rode.
The manual says 5/8" line for this gipsy, +/- 1/8". I would imagine they were refering to 3 strand when the manual was printed.
If someone has used 9/16 or 5/8 8 plait on this windlass are there any problems to be found? Like line slipping with 9/16 or 5/8 hanging up in gipsy? It does not matter which I get, I just don't want any problems down the road.

Thanks
Glen
