If you use bridle legs of any significant length, you lose the bridle effect, & also are greatly at risk of the (long) legs of the bridle twisting around one another. So for a bridle to work, it's legs need to be kept short. And the narrower the bridle's attachment points to the boat, the shorter the bridle legs.

I'm not seeing the purpose behind employing 2 swivels, or even how you'd do so? Thus if you could clarify this, I'd appreciate it.

I should think that properly moused shackles would be sufficient for connecting the 2 legs of the bridle to the drogue itself. Or even one big shackle connecting all 3 lines.
