Thanks for your reply this evening - and sorry to hear of your 'Irma' woes. No, I didn't read through the whole thread - mea culpa - just where my mate had pointed..... then contributed my tuppenceworth.

I, too, am refurb'ing an older boat - new engine, electrics, navkit, cooker, bottle store.... and will have on board TWO of those darned good Fortress thingys from Florida. Oh, and a couple of other hooky-thingys.....
In some ways I have lots of respect for tradition.... er, the part of that which involves good decision-making and sound seamanlike practices. Like, sound anchoring in sound anchorages. Best wishes with your ventures.
