"With a sharp mind this can be done in seconds, as long as landmarks are available."

Nowhere did I ever commit to having a sharp mind!
Lots of good stuff in this thread, if you have the time to mine it out of the 330 posts.

Oh. Errr. Um. Of course I was only referring to the on-the-piss fools with the upside down pirate flag flown with black panties.

NOT...if they're drunk or similar.
Always, if someone anchors over my pick I get them to immediately move forward a little and raise my pick and move.
Easier to do it then, while the "iron is still hot" and they're still possibly not too legless or in bed.

Doesn't wind ever shift in 'Straylia? I don't think I've ever had anyone anchor so that he was lying over my anchor, who was still in the same spot in the morning.

But whatever makes you comfortable. In my opinion this way to deal with it -- moving yourself -- is perfectly fine, if that's what you want to do.

You need to get out more Anywhere in the trades, and particularly in the Caribbean, it happens all the time. And that is where my worst experiences happened. In the winter the wind is just relentless, and from the same direction.
