Maxwell Marine any good?

I remember reading somewhere that lewmar windlasses were poorly made, and prone to failure.
So I ordered a maxwell 10-10 for 3/8" chain with captsain.
Did I make the right choice?
Its going to be hooked to a 85# mantus anchor, and 300' of 3/8"HT chain.
Max pull is rated at 1800#.

I bought a Maxwell windlass based on all the positive reviews over the years plus the tiny number of negative reviews. Lewmar was the opposite, which you already know. Maxwell is a good windlass for what you pay for. No, it's not an Ideal or Lighthouse but it also is half the price of those.
