MANTUS HAS A DAY OFF

Guys we are in Mexico, doing anchor testing but we took a day off to enjoy life and this is what we found......

What is that, something like a ten degree rode angle? That's what mine looks like when I'm winching it up. Why don't you add another ten feet of chain to make it resemble the real world we anchor in. This doesn't make you look better, only less honest. I always learned that pull on the rode should be parallel to the bottom, not up on the shank. At least the Practical Sailor and West tests are more accurate in depicting how anchors are deployed. Shame on you.

Nice underwater interlude, though, thanks.

Roy sorry for the delay in the reply but the spreader bar test was done with 6:1 Scope....
Look at the second part of the video this is where the money is .....
Very representative of how people actually anchor....

You are right 9 degrees is 6:1 scope though

Beautiful video of the manta rays and sharks. We have both (albeit rarely) here in Bermuda, at 32 and a half(ish) degrees North.
