Ideal Windlass Repair
The vertical capstan on my Ideal Windlass is frozen. The electric motor has checked out OK so I believe I need new bearings and bushings.

Does anyone know of a source for repair in the Ft. Lauderdale area? Ideal has suggested I ship the gearbox to them but I would like to avoid the time and shipping.

I am not sure about here in Florida but you could check Bearing headquarters for replacement parts.
