Hurricane season storage - Grenada

Has anyone had experience with storing a boat in Grenada over the Hurricane season?

Any yards you would recommend or recommend I avoid?

I along with hundreds of other boats haul in Greneda for the hurricane season .
Ther are three main yards plus a large marina . Lots of access to support and supplies. Importing parts is quite easy .
As for which yard , they are all generally reliable, you will get someone happy and pissed off with every yard . The main difference between the yards is that only Clarke’s Court is an open yard . There are also a couple of anchorages that might suit

Hello, any one have updated ideas on boat storage or haulage in Grenada ?
we are currently in Grenada marine and have been there since last august.
looking to leave her thee till november to relaunch and continue cruising.
has any one else stored there had trouble getting access to theor yacht to have it checked on ? Are the other yards the same and restrict you from even having a friend look at and air the yacht out?
your thoughts are appreciated.

We were in Grenada Marine for 3 seasons. I never had them check on the boat. I know one guy paid to have his boat checked and batteries monitored but they didn't do it and the batteries went flat.

I have no experience with other yards.

Hello, yes i have heard of other cruisers that have paid for work at grenada marine while their boat was on the hard stand , only to return and find the work not done or to a very low standard.
where you their for 3 separate seasons, or 3 years without returning?
we are currently looking at our second hurricane season without returning.
We did have friends checking on our boat but the yard has now given the hard word and not letting any one to do this anymore.

We were there for 3 seasons.

Every year something would happen and I would need to have a complete hissy fit to get it straight.

My experience, and what I have heard from others is consistent. You can get good work done but you need to manage them, very proactively. Unless it is off season and then the managers are crawling over you for billable hours.

My sense is that all the yards are about the same. And I have seen similar issues most places I have been; so I would say Grenada Marine is about average. I would go back.

I think the workers are often just fine, management? Not so much.
