Fender board fender for a 2X6 board

I have been looking for the fenders for the fender boards that would fit on the ends of a 2x6. It is easy to find the ones that fit on the 2x4. I know they used to exist but I just can’t find any. Any information would be very nice.

Wadanoli, I've moved your post to this forum. The other forum is for questions about the forum.

As to fender boards. MY understanding of fender boards, and how I have mine set up, (for your size boat too) is that I have a 12' long 2 x 8. I've drilled two holes near each end of the board, about 4 inches apart and at a 45 degree angle to the plane of the 8" side. those two holes meet on the OUTSIDE edge (8" ). I've sorta countersunk those so the deploying line won't rub against what you are tied up to.

The FENDERS, go between your boat and the fenderboard - as many and of a sufficient size you need to keep the board away from your hull as the boat (fenderboard) moves against the pilings. So, I'm not really sure what your question is - can you be more specific?

I think I know what he is talking about. I have a pair of rubber bumpers that are attached to the end of a 2x6. I got them a long time ago and have not seen them since. Mine are due for replacing so I have been actively looking, no luck so far.

I agree with the above system as the bumpers generally don't move and can supply better cushioning than the items you are looking for. Also if it is a bit choppy the it reduces noise inside the boat . I used this system 4 times on the Erie canal and every night while on the intracoastal

Re: Fender board fender for a 2X6 board

I deliver a lot of boats. One place I like to get fuel is the Wilcox and Flegel fuel dock in Astoria, last time we bought fuel there is was like $1.55/gallon. They normally only fill big fishing boats and other bigger commercial craft, but they say if you are willing to risk tying up at their pilling's they will sell to you.

I just do a 2x4, 8 footer, drill holes in it, and tie double ended fenders down the length so they are laying horizontal. At the ends are holes for the lines that will be tied on to the boat.

When I pull up we put the fenders against the hull and the board outward toward the pilling's. Works great, and pretty low cost as long as you have the fenders already.

Besides the above that does not address the inquiry...
I picked these up at a flea market, no other info, but it is what you seek.

I got one more than I need. Shipping is probably steep, but I could sell one if you cannot find what you need
