Lots of good points already made, Motion: at least one size up from maker's recommendation, carry different styles for different holding ground, ground tackle is a system, etc...

Quick read, I didn't see comment about lifting the anchor by hand if necessary. If your windlass craps out, you'll want to recover anchor and rode manually -- or mark it off with a float for retrieval later. If a manual lift is your preference... extra-extra weight might become a disadvantage... so maybe there's a sweet spot for weight selection.
