Hello out there.I have an Abi windlass but unfortunately have the wrong gypsy for it (3/8). I'm looking for a 5/16 bbb gypsy to go with my 150' of chain. I'm located in southern California in Santa Barbara.

I have a gypsy designed for 3/8" proof coil chain and could use a gypsy designed for 3/8" BBB. There is a company in Portland that will machine a gypsy for you for a price of $295.
If your current gypsy is 3/8 BBB I'd be more than happy to purchase it from you.

Contact Ron at C Plath. ABI copied their windlass design. He can provide parts that will fit, as they were the builder of the original design .

A search for C. Plath comes up with the navigation company.

The gypsy i have now on my Abi is 3/8 proof.

Hey.
I talked with Ron today and like you said he can match one or fabricate one but it would cost 395$!!! Maybe if we gave him our old ones for trade and had an order for two he would give us a deal?
Might be worth a try.

Yes, Ron said that he'd like me to send him my gypsy plus a length of chain and he'd make a new one. If you can talk him into a two-fer deal I'll buy into it. I need one that fits my 3/8" BBB chain. Shouldn't cost too much to ship with USPS Flat Rate boxes.
