Zodiac Cadet 290 RIB replacement tubes ?

Hi,

does anyone know if and where one can buy replacement tubes for a Zodiac Cadet 290 RIB in Europe?

I have a hull for it..

Alternatively how can the Hypalon tubes be best glued/patched?

Epoxy is probably to brittle. Sikaflex? Silicone?

How and with what could I paint them?

Gflex epoxy works very well. The 2 part hypalon glue is also excellent but not good in high humidity. Gflex works on PVC also but you do need to be able to apply some clamps or sandbags, etc.

Good, thank you.

Will see tommorow if the old tube is Hypalon or PVC.
A new tube is not going to happen, I received a quote of 2000€ for that.

So instead, I'll get some glue, Hypalon fabric & Hypalon paint.
All pending what the material test reveals tommorow.

Maybe I can salvage handles and oar locks from another derelict dinghy next to it.

What's the best way to remove some of the bad glued on handles and patches?

The fiberglass repair will be a piece of cake for me, I'm well versed in that.
Just need to grind the botched job someone else did previously off before laminating properly.

I guess for 150€ total materials I should be able to get a few more years out of her, if, she stays reasonably inflated until tomorrow.

Wish me luck.

Anyone else who has hints & good ideas how to repair & paint the tubes, let me know. Click image for larger version

OK, just for info for whoever else is considering this. A new tube is over 2000€ so, probably not the right solution for most.
