Re: Yamaha 9.9 outboard 2stroke running poorly

I saw someone also posted about read valves, this is another very possible problem for loss of power, but I would say only for 2 strokes that have worked very hard for a long time. When you remove the carb from the bottom of the engine you will see the fingers/reads. I have seen a read break off before, not common though. Will often be difficult to startand require more throttle to start. Will often die on idle though.
