X-15 for Dink Repair-Inf. PVC Zodiac

Following up on a previous CF posting and recommendation, I used Oakey x-15 Shower Pan Liner Adhesive to attach seat pads to mt Zodiac Cadet 8'.
I stood on the seat to provide professional industrial standards testing (more than 200 lbs.) and the seat held firmly. (I also repaired a leak--1/2" hole--with
a pvc patch and X-15--holding up well under full pressure.)

I'll follow with an in-water test (which should actually be easier on the seat) next week.

I used HH66 last year on the loose seams, but final testing is needed.

I know that trying to repair seams can be frustrating and perhaps futile, but
I'll try the X-15 if the HH66 fails.

Re: X-15 for Dink Repair-Inf. PVC Zodiac

Thanks for that information, Sailon. I made a PVC mast boot using shower liner and the oakly pvc cement that has held up well and I have been thinking about trying this exact experiment on my old and leaky (but little used) PVC zodiac on which the seems have come unbonded. Next chance I get, I'll give it a try. Also, PVC shower pan liner is cheap enough that I may use it for reinforcement on the dinghy. I'll still keep my hard dinghy but it's nice to have a roll-up available if need-be.

Best,

David
