As mentioned here brand and sometimes even model can matter almost as much as Hypalon vs PVC. And sometimes use vs cost comes in. My father has a PVC
Zodiac because the
price was great and it was for seasonal use here in
New England. Its about 8 years old now and still in fine shape. We also have an Achilles from the 80's in the garage hard to beat good
fabric from a quality
builder.
I used to deal with Warranties on a number of inflatable brands I can tell you certain PVC brands had more claims from material failure then others. SO the best bet is to do the
research for the exact model you want and go from there.
On the hand glued thing, the most common problem I used to see on hand glued hypalon was slow annoying
leaks, happened alot more then outright seam failures.
