Hi all,
I've recently
purchase a 2005 Porta-Bote 12' in really good shape. However, the PO installed a drain through the transom. (see pic) He was using the
boat as a lake
fishing boat with no plans to ever fold it, whereas I will be folding it and hanging it on stanchions as my
tender.
I have the feeling I'll need to relocate and patch the existing drain since it will be problematic to seal it effectively every time I unfold the boat.
Does anyone have any good suggestions on patching the polypropylene transom?
I have also been downloading and compiling
manuals on all the
equipment that's currently on the boat, a 1959 New Horizons. One item I've had no luck finding a manual for is a
Navico Tiller Pilot 1800. I've found
manuals for a 1600 and 2500, but these have a
compass, and my 1800 does not, so I doubt the manuals are the same.
Last item, does anyone have a source on replacement
mast boots? I've looked online, but I can't find one that fits my
mast shape. (see Pic)
