Re: Patching a Dinghy

I had a leak/cut next to the rubber bumper on one, I made the hole big enough to insert a patch inside the tube with the glue facing out, last resort type thing and it worked.

Re: Patching a Dinghy

Years ago, when cruising with different 2nd hand dinks, I was always doing patching. The 2 part gues from the boat stores was expensive and had a short shelf life.
I found a product called Rema Tip Top SC2000. Less expensive, for 2x the product size. And no shelf life. And it worked great. What more could a cruiser want.
It's the perfect glue for inflatibles.

Re: Patching a Dinghy

Rema actually says a 4 year shelf life, compared to one year for some of the Bostik products. If it bonds as well and is as permanent, that's great.
